Preschool is done for the summer, but Abigail has not forgotten a lesson she learned in class...
She told us a few different times during the year that her teachers would tell children in the class, "You get what you get, and you don't get upset" when they complained about their snack, toy, book, etc. Coley and I thought it was a clever way to teach the children to not whine or complain.
On Father's Day, Abigail woke up early. She wanted to give Daddy his presents before we went to Church. As she gave Coley his gifts, she said, "You get what you get, and you don't get upset." What can you say in response to that?
P.S. Coley loved his presents!

Very cute! In Colorado (kindergarten) we used to say, "You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit." Upset works too...until the tantrum ensues:-)
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that. She is so cute. I am still chuckling. Thanks for sharing.
