More California Fun

Coley and I love living in Rochester, but I always look forward to the time I have to visit family and friends in California. Coley wasn't able to travel with us this time because of his work schedule, so Abby and I flew out west for about ten days on our own. (I'm VERY grateful that Abby is such a good traveler! She loves riding on the airplane and is not shy about making new friends!) It was wonderful to spend time with my sisters and friends and Abby was happy to have some time with her cousin, Olivia. I had to strategically plan this trip during a time after the sickness of early pregnancy had subsided and before I was so big I could hardly move. Everything worked out well, but I was pretty tired by the time I returned home to New York. I don't think there will be any more big trips until after the baby is born!

Abby and Olivia sport some funny 3-D glasses while riding in the car with Aunt Elisa.

Abby wanted to watch The Three Stooges with Gene. They both only lasted about five minutes before they were out!

Abby loves being in the water. She is all smiles here because she went swimming in Mariette's pool.
It's hard to believe that the next time we visit California, we will have a new addition to our family!

Disneyland Continued

What is a trip to Disneyland without meeting some of the characters? Abby's focus during this trip was definitely the princesses, but she couldn't resist a chance to meet Mickey again!

Gina, Mariette, and Abby say hello to the cutest mouse in the world!

Abby wanted to share Mickey with Gina. She kept telling Mickey,
"I like her! I like her!"

Abigail smiles as she meets Belle.

Abigail also got to meet Ariel.

Princess Tianna was SUPER sweet with Abby. Abby hugged her several times!

The Happiest Place on Earth

It is no secret that I love to go to Disneyland, so while Abby and I were visiting friends and family in California this month, we, of course, had to go to the Happiest Place on Earth. We had such a great time!

Abby loves riding the carousel. She rode on it two times. I'm sure she would have liked to ride it more, but since I'm still a little nauseated, that was my limit!

We spent the day with Gina and Mariette.

Abby decided to make the most of waiting in line and made friends with the other little girls. At one point, she led one of the girls in a little dance. It was very entertaining to watch!

Abby is all smiles on the train.

Just soaking it all in!

Watkins Glen

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon exploring some fun places in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. We drove from the northern end to the southern tip of Seneca Lake, enjoying the view of the water and the vineyards. At the southern tip of the lake is a place called Watkins Glen. This state park has a trail along a spectacular gorge with nineteen waterfalls. The trail from the bottom to the top of the gorge is 1 1/2 miles of climbing stairs! It was beautiful!

Abby kept asking Coley to pick her up so she could look over the wall at the water. She was fascinated with all of the deep pools and waterfalls.

I Love Spring!

I am so thankful for the beautiful weather we have had for the past few weeks. We have been busy working in the flower beds, planting the garden, and just playing outside. Tuesday, Abby and I picked the first ripe strawberries from the garden. We love watching all of the little vegetable plants grow and grow. We'll see how many plants actually survive all of the "help" I have in the garden between Abby and Sydney!
This is our "show off" rose bush in the front yard. This picture shows just a few of the roses that are in bloom right now. It's a bit crowded in its current location, but it sure is happy!

Abby LOVES the water! The weather has been perfect for setting up the little pool in the backyard!

We have also been taking advantage of the beautiful weather by taking walks in our neighborhood and at the park. On this particular day, Abby had a great time walking the path with her friend, Shelly. (P.S. Shelly was very proud of the outfit she picked out herself.... It matched because the shirt and the pants both had purple and stripes!)
That is all for now. It's another beautiful day, and we are headed outside!
