Since winter lingers for such a LONG time in Rochester, we are always excited to find some warmer weather by January each year. This year, Coley was scheduled to attend a conference in Orlando at the end of January, so we decided to add several days to his trip to make it a vacation also. For the first five days, we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton (since that is where the conference was being held). It was fabulous! While Coley attended the conference, Abby, Michael, and I spent time playing at the hotel playground, taking walks around the resort, and relaxing in the room. When Coley finished his sessions each day, we headed down to the pool. The outside temperature and the temperature of the water were a little too cold for Michael to swim, so Coley and I took turns swimming with Abby. We had a very relaxing few days in some very nice weather while all of our friends in New York braced themselves for a blizzard! Here are a few pictures from the first half of our trip....
Michael swings and sleeps so I can pack for our trip. He is such a good baby!
Abby and Coley practice their flying skills in the play area at the Rochester Airport.
Swimming was Abby's first order of business on day one of our trip!
Abby, Michael, and I walked around the resort while Coley attended his meetings. It was beautiful! There were signs near the water, though, cautioning people about getting too close because of alligators and snakes. Ewww! All the different birds were cool- snakes and alligators would not have ranked high on my list! I was not sorry we didn't see any!
Abby and Michael both loved getting some Vitamin D from the REAL source!
Inside the hotel room, Abby created her own "swimming pool" with her little blanket. I LOVE her imagination!
Abby loved spending time at the hotel playground.
Our hotel was on the same resort property as the Marriott, so we were able to use the Marriott pool also. The pool was HUGE (with lots of different areas to swim and play) and even had a lazy river. We had a GREAT time in the water!
The second half of our trip was spent at Disney World. There will be more pictures to follow!
