Fun at Disney World

We spent three days at Disney World at the beginning of February. It was wonderful to enjoy the magic of Disney, mild weather, and reasonably short lines. My schedule mainly revolved around Michael's needs, but Abby and Coley were ready for adventure from the moment we arrived until the time we left each day. I think Abby's favorite rides were "Dumbo" and "The Barnstormer" (roller coaster in Toon Town). Michael enjoyed "It's a Small World," but his favorite thing was "Turtle Talk with Crush." You should have seen him smiling, cooing, giggling, and kicking his feet! It was so cute! I know I've already posted lots of pictures from our trip, but you have to remember that all our family is far away, so here are some more!

Autographs and Photos

During our three days at Disney World, we were able to meet several characters. The parks were not very busy, so the lines were not too bad at all. Abby was able to get lots of autographs from her Disney friends.

The expression on Abby's face makes me laugh. She wanted her picture with Donald, but you can tell she is not quite sure what to think of him!

Abby informed me that Mickey is her FAVORITE character. She was very happy to see the mouse!

Pluto is always so cute around little kids. What a well-mannered puppy!

Minnie Mouse smiles with Abby.

Abigail was really excited to meet Marie from Aristocats. (In fact, the only thing she asked for as a souvenier from our trip was a "Marie" stuffed animal.) Marie was really cute with Abby, but you should have seen her when she spotted the stroller with Michael.....

She went crazy over him. The line of people waiting to meet Marie seemed nonexistent to the cat who couldn't get enough of the baby! It was really sweet.

Lunch with the Princesses

We spent our first day at Disney World at Epcot. The highlight of the day was lunch with the princesses. Abby loved talking to all of them, but she did seem a bit nervous at first.

Sleeping Beauty was one of the first to visit our table.

Snow White was so sweet with Abigail. She listened while Abby told her all about baby Michael.

And then, of course, there was Ariel.
The pictures with Belle and Cinderella were out of focus, but Abby was able to see them again at Magic Kingdom.
We all had a great time

Our Florida Trip- Part I

Since winter lingers for such a LONG time in Rochester, we are always excited to find some warmer weather by January each year. This year, Coley was scheduled to attend a conference in Orlando at the end of January, so we decided to add several days to his trip to make it a vacation also. For the first five days, we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton (since that is where the conference was being held). It was fabulous! While Coley attended the conference, Abby, Michael, and I spent time playing at the hotel playground, taking walks around the resort, and relaxing in the room. When Coley finished his sessions each day, we headed down to the pool. The outside temperature and the temperature of the water were a little too cold for Michael to swim, so Coley and I took turns swimming with Abby. We had a very relaxing few days in some very nice weather while all of our friends in New York braced themselves for a blizzard! Here are a few pictures from the first half of our trip....

Michael swings and sleeps so I can pack for our trip. He is such a good baby!
Abby and Coley practice their flying skills in the play area at the Rochester Airport.

Swimming was Abby's first order of business on day one of our trip!

Abby, Michael, and I walked around the resort while Coley attended his meetings. It was beautiful! There were signs near the water, though, cautioning people about getting too close because of alligators and snakes. Ewww! All the different birds were cool- snakes and alligators would not have ranked high on my list! I was not sorry we didn't see any!

Abby and Michael both loved getting some Vitamin D from the REAL source!

Inside the hotel room, Abby created her own "swimming pool" with her little blanket. I LOVE her imagination!

Abby loved spending time at the hotel playground.

Our hotel was on the same resort property as the Marriott, so we were able to use the Marriott pool also. The pool was HUGE (with lots of different areas to swim and play) and even had a lazy river. We had a GREAT time in the water!
The second half of our trip was spent at Disney World. There will be more pictures to follow!

Disney on Ice

A few days before our trip to Florida, we went to "Disney on Ice" with some friends. There were only two rows of people in front of us, so we had a great view of the skaters. We all had a great time; even Michael was entertained by the lights and colors for about 30 minutes. (At that point, he fell asleep until the show was over.)

Yeah! It's Mickey!

Mommy's All Star

So.... I bought this cute little outfit for Michael before he was born. I carefully thought about the size he would need during baseball season and bought the outfit accordingly. This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago, and as you can see, it is not too big for him at all. Baseball season doesn't start for a little while, but I figured he better wear this outfit now before he outgrows it! He just went to see the pediatrician for his four month checkup. He weighs 17 pounds, 2 ounces and is 27 inches long!
